Afro-Kubanische Trancerythmen mit nordischen Mythen zu kombinieren ist ein gewagtes Experiment - ein Tapdance und Bodypercussion Trio mit einem Saxophon Trio auf eine Bühne zu stellen ebenso!
Der aus Wien stammende New Yorker Steptanz Star Max Pollak ist ständig auf der Suche nach neuen Ausdrucksformen im Tanz, aber auch musikalisch. Inspiriert von kubanischer Folklore und dem antiken finnischen Heldenepos “Kalevala” suchte er nach Möglichkeiten diese zu verbinden und schaffte damit einen spannungsgeladenen Raum zwischen diesen beiden Extremen. Das Resultat ist eine energetische Performance, in der sich die Wurzeln dieser in spontanen Interaktionen widerspiegeln und entfalten.

To combine Afro-Cuban trance rhythms with nordic mythology is a daring experiment - to combine a tapdance ensemble and a saxophon trio as well!
New York tapdance star with Viennese roots, Max Pollak, is always looking out for new forms of expression in music and dance. Inspired by Cuban folk music and the ancient “Kalevala”, a heroic epic of Finland, he searched for possibilities to combine those two extremes. The result is an energetic performance - rooted in both!
